I had the opportunity to travel to Khushab/Jauharabad to speak at the Khushab Digital Tech Conference 2025, where I delivered a session on “Zero to Hero as a Freelancer.”
It was genuinely inspiring to interact with the young talent of Khushab. I have attended and spoken at many technology and freelancing events across Pakistan, but the enthusiasm, curiosity, and potential I witnessed among the participants at this conference were remarkable.
What impressed me the most was the quality of questions from the young audience. Their questions went beyond the basics of freelancing and reflected a deeper understanding of career building, skill development, client acquisition, international markets, entrepreneurship, and the future of technology. Honestly, their questions were at a level beyond what I had expected.
During my session, I discussed the journey of transforming yourself from a beginner with little or no experience into a successful freelancer. We talked about identifying the right digital skills, continuously improving those skills, building a strong portfolio, finding international clients, communicating professionally, delivering quality work, and developing long-term relationships with clients.
I also emphasized that freelancing should not necessarily be the final destination. With experience and the right mindset, a freelancer can move towards building a team, starting an agency, developing products, and eventually creating a sustainable technology business.
My message to the young participants was simple: Pakistan has incredible talent, but talent needs direction, consistency, and opportunities to turn into success.
The Khushab Digital Tech Conference 2025 was a wonderful experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to interact with such talented and ambitious young people.
I left the event with even greater confidence in the potential of Pakistan's youth. Khushab has talent, ambition, and a lot of potential—and it was truly great to witness it firsthand.
