I had the opportunity to be invited as a guest on a podcast at Aik News Lahore to discuss digital skills and the empowerment of Pakistan’s youth.
The conversation focused on the growing importance of digital skills in today's economy and the opportunities available to young Pakistanis through technology, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and remote work.
During the podcast, I shared insights from my experience in the technology and freelancing industry, discussing how young people can develop practical, marketable skills and use them to access opportunities beyond traditional career paths.
We also discussed the importance of understanding the global digital marketplace. Platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork have created opportunities for Pakistani professionals to work with international clients, but long-term success requires more than simply joining a freelancing platform. Building expertise, creating a strong portfolio, communicating professionally, understanding client requirements, and consistently delivering quality work are essential.
Another important part of the conversation was the role of entrepreneurship and digital businesses. I discussed how freelancing can become a starting point for building teams, agencies, software products, and technology businesses, allowing young professionals to move from individual service providers toward entrepreneurship.
I also emphasized the importance of continuous learning as technology continues to evolve, particularly with the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence and automation. Young professionals need to adapt their skills and learn how to use emerging technologies effectively rather than viewing technological change only as a challenge.
It was a valuable opportunity to share my perspective with a wider audience through Aik News and contribute to the conversation around digital skills, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment in Pakistan.
I am grateful to the team at Aik News Lahore for inviting me and providing a platform to discuss these important topics.
