I had the opportunity to be invited to Roze News to speak about freelancing in Pakistan and its growing value for the country’s young professionals and digital workforce.
During the discussion, I shared insights from my experience in the technology and freelancing industry and highlighted how freelancing has created new opportunities for Pakistanis to work with clients and businesses from around the world.
We discussed how the digital economy has changed the traditional concept of employment. Today, professionals with skills in software development, graphic design, digital marketing, content creation, e-commerce, AI, and other digital fields can access international markets without being limited by their geographical location.
I also emphasized that the real value of freelancing goes beyond earning money online. It allows individuals to develop professional skills, gain international experience, build client relationships, understand global markets, and potentially progress from independent freelancing toward building teams, agencies, products, and technology businesses.
Another important topic was the need for skill development and professionalism. Simply joining a freelancing platform does not guarantee success. Pakistani freelancers need to focus on developing high-value skills, building strong portfolios, communicating effectively, understanding client requirements, and consistently delivering quality work.
We also discussed how emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence and automation, are changing the freelancing landscape. Instead of ignoring these changes, freelancers can learn to use new technologies to improve productivity, expand their services, and solve more complex problems for clients.
It was a valuable opportunity to discuss the role of freelancing in Pakistan and the possibilities it can create for the country's growing digital workforce.
I am grateful to Roze News for inviting me and providing a platform to contribute to this important conversation.
